Tailor-made In Situ Hybridization

In situ hybridization FISH HER2

Our teams, which combine skills in molecular biology and in tissue labelling, perform the tasks of designing in situ hybridization protocols in unconventional targets. After a thorough verification process and literature search, Histalim specifies the most relevant strategy with the customer. (eg.: designing a DIG (Digoxigenin)-labelled DNA probe of 200 to 500 pairs of bases for hybridization in a genomic insert).

We have a technical platform enabling us to conduct tasks of protocol validation manually, as well as through automated systems. We undertake the synthesis of probes, development of the labelling protocol, and validation of target specificity. It is subsequently possible to enhance the robustness of the protocol to implement it for routine use.

Our services:

  • Synthesis of tailor-made markers (DNA and RNA) (oligonucleotide probe and cocktails)
  • Designing chromogenic and fluorescence immunohistochemistry protocols
  • Validation of protocols with automated labelling
  • Standardization of protocols

Application (in oncology, neuroscience, auto-immune diseases, etc.):

  • Marking signaling pathways in situ (RNA)
  • Development of new tools for diagnosis or combatting a disease
  • Designing a new method of unparalleled ISH (in situ hybridization)/ FISH (fluorescence in situ hybridization) tagging in immunohistochemistry
  • Detection of gene and occurrences (fusion or translocation genes in the DNA)
